Actions & Indications

• It has antithrombotic activity due to its inhibitory effects on platelet.
• It is used for the prophylactic treatment of thromboembolic disorders, myocardial infarction, transient ischemic attacks & stroke: for the secondary preventing of cardiovascular disease in person with diabetes especially in the following subgroups
• History of myocardial infarction, vascular bypass procedure, stroke or transient ischemic attack & angina.
• Persons with additional risk factors: hypertension, smoking, dyslipidemia & family history of cardiovascular diseases.

Dosage

• As directed by the physician.

Potential Side Effects

• GI bleeding, ulceration, nausea , vomiting
• Prolongation of prothrombin time
• Urticaria
• Hearing loss, tinnitus
