Chloramphenicol is indicated in the topical treatment of minor bacterial skin infections caused by susceptible organisms. In deeper skin infections, topical Chloramphenicol should be given concurrently with appropriate systemic antibacterial. Chloramphenicol is used in the topical prophylaxis of minor bacterial skin infections. Chloramphenicol is used in the topical treatment of dermal ulcer.
